tunnel vision

1. (Medicine / Pathology) a condition in which peripheral vision is greatly restricted
2. narrowness of viewpoint resulting from concentration on a single idea, opinion, etc., to the exclusion of others
(Source: Harper Collins English dictionary 2003)

I don’t seem to be able to see the end of the tunnel when it comes to finishing my study. I’m in the middle of time consuming, tedious and boring data entry and am getting fed up. Supposedly I should be able to finalize my study this year according to my supervisor who seems to have a great deal of trust in me, more than I have in myself. I hope she’s right and I’m wrong. I find myself looking for excuses not to work all the time. That’s why with nothing really to say I spent 40 minutes writing this little piece. I better get back to work now…

I’m fascinated by old buildings. Since a few years I’ve been trying to capture the mysterious atmosphere present in these buildings. Shadow and light play an important role in this respect.
Five different houses and one veterinary clinic are presented below; three of the houses were located  in Upper Egypt, one in Cairo and one in France.
